Drink Wiedemann
“We need this to move”
Movement
A failing beer cooler became a community rally point.
My third bottle cooler went out in the first year I owned the bar. So I rallied the community around helping me pay for the last one by drinking a historical local beer with my highest margins.
Emotional Layers
History
Wiedemann was brewed locally and once delivered to the bar by horse.
Community
People were directly help fund the cooler.
Environment
Made the tap handle, signs, and scoreboard behind the bar.
Ritual
Every beer purchased brought us closer to hitting our goal. People were buying rounds for the whole bar to watch the number rise.
Result
Directed Behavior Change
increased %of sales — beers 600+ beers in 14-nights. Outselling Miller and Bud Light.
Raised enough money to buy a new bottle cooler for the bar.

But it’s not about the tools.
“Is this guy a photographer?"
"Is he a filmmaker?"
"Is he an event guy?"
"Is he a strategist?"
“Can this work for me?”
Yes.
I use whatever it takes to start the movement.
If tomorrow the best solution was a billboard, a super bowl commercial, a newspaper, a beer ticket, a bumper sticker, a song, a mason jar, a mural, or a handwritten sign, I’d use that instead.

You don’t call someone who builds houses, “a hammer’er” just because he uses a hammer.
I build the house.
